Yawning is the mechanical opening of the mouth while taking in a prolonged breath of air.
Yawning is linked with tiredness, drowsiness and sleepiness. It helps in the bringing more oxygen into the blood and moving out more carbon dioxide out of the blood.
An automatic reflex which helps us to control our oxygen and carbon dioxide levels. Yawning increases the heart rate and feel more awake.
Reduction of the oxygen in the blood is also known to be the reason of the yawning.
It frequently occurs either before or after sleep. Also, Yawning is commonly seen in people who are getting bore or doing tedious things.
As we know that excess of everything is bad. So, excessive yawning may arise as a result of sleep disorders, side effect of medications, bleeding in or around the heart.
